Redden Shuts'er Down

This explains Redden's poor play this season:
"Redden has clearly been playing well below his level, and his $6.5M contract, all season. The giveaways, the mental errors, and having Phillips and Volchenkov surpass finally makes sense after hearing that the assistant captain has been dealing with a groin injury all year. Fans have speculated that he was dealing with a chronic injury but today sens' trainer Ben Haad revealed that the pain was too great for Redden. Surgery has been scheduled before the playoffs in an attempt to have his groin on the mend before the inevitable heartbreak."
