Hurricane watch

Two games stick out in the Senators record so far. These two games are the only ones, including the preseason, where Ottawa failed to score 3 or more goals.

Of course, these were the two losses to Carolina.

Tomorrow the team goes into Raleigh where the home team's performance this year seems to have boosted the attendance from 12,000 to 14,500 per game.

Also, this game will most likely see the rubber match in the McGrattan/Boulerice series. According to Hockeyfights, they've split the first two.

  1. Actually, the Senators didn't score 3 goals in the first game of the season against the Leafs. That is, unless you count the shootout which doesn't really count in the goals scored column of any player.

  2. Should have, could have, would have. If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.

And it's not the referees job to go upstairs. They're job is to try not to go upstairs by being in position. The refs had to go to each other and see if the other ref saw what happened before they go up.

PS.: My condolances to Chris Neil and his family for the loss of his mother.

Also a get well to Jiri Fisher after the incident on the Red Wings bench, get better soon.
