Leafs vs. Sens - Commentary from both sides of the aisle.
Meatriarchy, that was *awesome*. The Macon Whoopee?? You can't make that stuff up.
I laughed, I cried...The original Ottawa logo they pitched the team with was pretty awful too. I pity the fool who made a run or two of those tshirts.
Oh yeah, I forgot about the old Peace Tower logo. It was pretty weak.Do the Sens ever use the '3rd' logo any more? I don't see them on HNIC that often (I live in TO), and I've only seen the traditional jerseys.
I love the team, but I've never been too keen on the Ottawa 67's logo. Or the team name, truth be told. I'm just glad it doesn't change the way the team plays. Thankfully, you can't find a readable version of the logo (current or "old time") on their website (even in the online store).
The original Canucks logo? Usually people harp about the Flying V of the 1980's, but the original hockey stick/rink/hidden letter C logo???Come on man, you can't really mean that. The hokcey stick logo was and is great. I wish they'd have more heritage games so they can us it more, it sure beats the heck out of an unscary killer whale. Now the New York Golden Blades... THERE is an ugly logo.
I still hate that original canucks logo. Looks like it was designed by a draftsman at his desk with a ruler and some graph paper and one of those mechanical pencils. Although most of the "third jerseys" in the NHL today are absolutely horrid as well. As a side note a name kicked around for the Toronto Raptors before they settled on that was "toronto Towers" and the warm up pants were supposed to have the cn tower running up the leg. 'cause like, the guys are so tall....
