I cannot, for the life of me, pick a team to cheer for in the finals. It's great hockey being played featuring some amazing players, but without some desire for one team or the other to succeed I'm finding it hard to get fully into it.
Anybody else experiencing this?
Also, it's being reported in the Star today that The Florida Panthers have denied the Leafs permission to speak with Joe Niewendyk.
Apparently the Leafs have hatched some idea that a trio of Fletcher, Nonis and Niewendyk might be a solution to this whole GM fiasco.
Niewendyk resigned from the Panthers a few months ago, which makes it a little odd that Florida will not let the Leafs talk to him prior to July 1 when his contract is officially over.
