We interrupt this program to salute a deserving fellow.

Dion Phaneuf sets up the OT winner. Grabovski scores it. Phil Kessel edges his way closer to a 30 goal season. The Monster wins his 6th straight game. Tyler Bozak has exceeded all expectations. Nazem Kadri is now the leading scorer in the OHL playoffs. Jimmy Hayes led the NCAA tourney in scoring and his team wins the championship.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are officially a franchise chalk full of talented youth, something I've never been able to say about this team since I first started following them in the 80's.

I'd just like to take this moment to give credit where it's due. You have a plan, you've made the bold moves, you weathered criticism and doubt and panic from a fanbase to start the season, and yet here we are - with not just hope but proof that this franchise has indeed turned the corner.

Thank you Brian Burke for all your hard work. It feels good to be a Leaf fan again.
